Free Workshop: Silence = Acceptance: Starting the Conversation
Continued tragic and historical events surrounding race and systemic racism have sparked movements and conversations worldwide.
The DMCMA Education Committee and the Minority & Justice Commission are sponsoring an upcoming workshop Silence = Acceptance: Starting the Conversation as a starting point to begin the essential and necessary work of eliminating systematic and institutional racism within our courts and continuing the dialogue. This workshop will increase one’s knowledge and bring awareness of how racism and bias evolved to present day and how being silent about implicit and explicit bias perpetuates systemic racism resulting in harmful impacts to People of Color.
The goal of this workshop is to provide information that will inspire and motivate others to take further action in eliminating bias and racism wherever it shows up.
This workshop will be offered four (4) times: March 11 (1:00 – 3:00 PM); March 25 (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM); April 8 (1:00 – 3:00 PM); and April 29 (1:00 – 3:00 PM). The content will be the same for each workshop. Please sign up for one (1) workshop only. The workshops will not be recorded. There is no cost to attend.
Attached is the registration flyer, which includes the dates, times, and registration links.
