Public Comment Invited on Proposed Ninth Circuit Rule Changes
Rule change proposals have been posted on the Ninth Circuit’s website for public comment. The revisions are primarily designed to clarify the requirements for filing emergency motions and eliminate the separate concept of urgent motions, to reduce the number of paper copies of briefs and excerpts of record required by the rules, and to clarify language and mirror existing practice with respect to various other rules. If ultimately approved by the Court, these rules would become effective December 1, 2019. Comments are due July 31.
