The Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent (POWER) Act of 2018 was enacted to help survivors of domestic violence gain access to pro bono legal services. Join us to understand domestic violence from criminal and victim perspectives, learn about current programs working to make legal services accessible, and find volunteer opportunities to connect with those looking for support.

Attendees will hear from Chief Judge David Estudillo about the importance of the POWER Act, gain cultural competency, and become notified of opportunities to provide pro bono legal services to this underrepresented constituency.

This year’s presentation will feature speakers from the Tulalip Tribal Court Domestic Violence Prosecutor’s Office, Tulalip Office Civil Legal Aid, and Legacy of Healing.
